We build websites for everyone, so ours has to work for everyone too. That includes people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, zoom or high-contrast settings.
What we aim for
blueweb.ink is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We hold every client site to the same standard at launch.
What we’ve done
- Checked color contrast on all text, buttons and icons
- Made sure the whole site works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline
- Added text descriptions to meaningful images and hid decorative ones from screen readers
- Gave every form field a real label and clear error messages
- Added a pause button to anything that moves, and stopped animations for people who have reduced motion turned on
- Made sure pages still work zoomed to 200% and on small phone screens
- Tested with the axe accessibility checker and the VoiceOver screen reader
- Skipped overlay widgets and fix-it plugins, since real accessibility has to be built into the code
Known issues
None we know of right now.
